My wife begs me, not to give my opinion on this topic. To bite my tongue and not ruffle any feathers, but how can I? How can you live every day of your life affected by it and not voice your opinion. I mean I am so grateful for the freedoms we have in America, and one of those of course is the freedom to voice our opinions, whether they are liked or disliked, if they are nice or argumentative, gosh it’s like I would be Un-American, if I didn’t say something.
In an effort to heed the wisdom of my wife, I will keep my opinions to myself and rather give a word of encouragement. I strongly feel it is our responsibility as American’s to go to the polls and VOTE. From the view point of this blog, it does not matter who you vote for. Your voice is heard, and should be heard this year on November 8, 2016. Here is some shocking statistics.
- Roughly 60% of the US Population shows up to the Polls the years of Presidential Elections.
- The age group of 18 – 34 years old has only 23% participation
- The age group 65 and older has 59% of their age group show up
- 40% of Black Non-hispanic show up
- 45% of White Non-hispanic show up
- Only 27% of Hispanic ethnicity show up
The President of the UNITED STATES matters, it should matter to you, it affects the money you have in your pocket book, it affects the money you receive back in taxes or pay into the IRS. The President has the ability to throw a wrench into the World Economy, as well as strengthen such economy. The President, is put on a pedestal by others but for me the President has the greatest responsibility that should not be taken lightly. The President should view themselves as a servant to the American People and not pulling the strings like a puppet handler or the American public.
Get out there and make a difference and VOTE for the next President of the United States of America.
