We have a lot to be thankful for as American’s. Do you ever sit in a quiet place and meditate on this? If you are like me, your life is busy. It is filled with running kids to and from school, soccer practice, dance recitals, football games, horse lessons, and soon I am sure we will be playing instruments. All this busyness often has the ability to keep our minds from focusing on what is important, what is valuable and what we can be thankful for. Begin this journey with me, as I blog every Thursday what I am thankful for.
- I am thankful for my loving family. It is not a perfect household or family by any means, we have our flaws. What we try to do, is to love each other despite these flaws. It is this Love, that I am truly thankful for.
- I am thankful for Sunrises! Have you lost a dear loved one, maybe a friend or close relative? I have…I never would have guessed at my age my friends would have passed away. My close friend and brother in Christ, passed away January 5, 2017. I still can’t believe it is true. This was a wake up call to me. Reminding me that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Be thankful for today. The sunrise begins a new day! Be thankful for it.
- I am thankful for career in Real Estate. What a blessing it is to help people fulfill their dreams of home ownership. Or for some of my clients I am helping them close a chapter in their lives with the sale of one home and the purchase of another. It seems whenever someone is buying a house it is an important time in their lives, I am so thankful I get to be a part of that process.
- I am thankful for my health. You may take this for granted, I know I have in the past. Your health is so vital. For me my health allows me to ride my bicycle, play with my kids, go for hikes in the mountains, go wake boarding. It is my health that allows me to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Thank God for this beautiful country we live in and enjoy.
What are you thankful for? Maybe this is a hard time in your life and it is tough to see the trees of hope in the forest of doubt. Take time today, to sit and ponder all the things you are thankful for. I would encourage you to make a list. Maybe even put the list on the refrigerator in the kitchen as a daily reminder, all the good things in your life. I would love to hear in the comments below something that comes to mind that you are thankful for!
